Yeah ... the [ items ] table got hosed in the move. All's good now.

What percent of visitors use IE compared to Firefox compared to Opera? I'm just curious.

I haven't set up a stats processing program yet. But since this new server is doing a bunch of websites, I'm going to set something up for all of them. I'll let you know the results. I'm curious to see what kind of traffic the various websites put out.

Google Analytics is a free deal that I use for my domain website. Very good reports that you can generate and it's an SaaS.

I agree that Google Anaytics is a good product, but here are the pitfalls:

- the client must support and not have blocked javascript.
- you won't get any reporting for failed pages (e.g. 404s, 500s, 503s, etc)
- Google gets to know about all of your traffic.

A package on the server deals with all of that. I've used something small and easy like Analog, and the guys who owned the server before me used Nettracker. So I'm evaluating some packages right now. And FYI, I'm trying out the Astaro software on some old hardware I had lying around (see attached).

Man, when you say 'lying around', you mean it literally! :)

Well of course, if I like the performance and features etc (which so far are impressive), then I'll actually throw it in a case. But for now, why waste the time?

I love Astaro. As a home user, you can get a free license.

I am going to be implementing Astaro at a corporate level as well.

BTW Ulwar - it is taking me literally a minute to pull up New Posts. Once I am on the post thread, I can go almost instantly to the secondary pages of that thread, but just getting it to come up is a bear today.
