Below is an excerpt from a post that John August made on his site. I thought you guys might find it interesting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who’ve seen my movie, The Nines, can infer that I had a bit of a World of Warcraft problem back in the day. “The day” being a period of about four months in which most of my waking hours were spent either playing the game or wanting to. The luxury and danger of being a screenwriter is an abundance of unstructured time. WoW can eat hours in a gulp.

Moderation just didn’t work. I had to give it up cold-turkey, canceling my account and throwing out the install disks. With my newfound time, I had a kid, wrote a couple of movies and directed one of my own.

I enjoyed looking around your site. I read the Getting Things Done book about a year ago that you referred to. I found it to be very useful although I still struggle to have the discipline to stay on track with it at times.

My brother is an aspiring screenwriter and I will mention your sight to him as it looks like you have a lot of good info on there.

LOL!

Let me be clear ... I am NOT John August. I have never written a screenplay, and if you knew me, you would know just how funny that concept is. I just cut and pasted the beginning of the article, without providing any lead in. I'll edit the post to make this more clear.

his 3rd point tells me he never played WOW, since Once you put on equipment it is soulbound to you so you can't take your old gear and give it to nubs, that or for a screen writer attention to details is laking.

Yeah ... I kinda wondered about that myself. I think maybe he was just "thinking" he could do that.

Yeah ... but who on earth wears anything that's not green? Does it even count as armor?

LOL!

The way you originally posted I thought it was you. I was wondering why you lived in Canada and talked about LA.
