Ventrillo Normalization

Vent Normalization makes every bodies voice the exact same volume. In essence, you won't blow your ear's out or have difficulty hearing people.

Here's how:
- Go to Setup
- Enable Direct Sound
- Select the SFX Button
- Select Compressor and click Add.
- Under Compressor Properties use the following settings
- Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)
- Attack = 0.01
- Release = Around 500
- Threshold = Around -30
- Ratio = 100
- Pre delay = 4.0

Hey Cathas, if I had the money, my next machine would be a Mac Pro running OSX, parallels and bootcamp. I just don't happen to have $4K to drop on one right now.

I'm waiting for leopard to install windows on this machine. And I'm waiting for my powerball ticket to win to get a MacPro

So, anyway i'll try this today and see if it works, if my sound is really f'd up by it I'm just going to get my Horde toon out and camp Amuna.

i tried it and it seemed fine.
only complaint was that it seemed to cut some people off a little. think the normalization might have cut out some static/sound spikes?
